German students in Estonia

Our trip to Estonia from 23rd to 27th May 2011
This is a report about the trip to Narva. Two students Alexander Mänz and Christopher Jarchow travelled together with their teachers of geography Mrs Dreikluft and Mrs Delgado. They prepared a presentation on „Places in our country“.
Monday
On Monday we arrived in Narva at 8 o’clock after a long journey. Our host families made us feel welcomed.
Then we went to the host families and when we were at our new home, they showed us our room.In the evening we all met again: Yoshi, Andre, Arthur, Ivan and me.
Tuesday
We went to school at 10’o clock , where we met other exchange students.
At school, teachers have presented and explained everything about their school and their schools system.
After the school tour we were divided into groups for the city rallye.
In the city rally we were given three sights that we had to find in Narva city.
After the city rallye, we are had lunch and then we went to the castle of Narva.
At 2 o’clock we had a tour in the castle.
After the palace tour we had about two hours to do something in the city.
After this two hours we had to go into the school to show our presentation of nice places in Germany. The evening we spent something together with the other exchange students.
Wednesday
On Wednesday we had to be at school at 8’o clock because from there we went by bus to Tallinn.
Although bus ride was long, we all had a lot of fun.
Around noon we arrived in Tallinn and we visited the Open Air Museum.
After the visit we had time for lunch there before we explored Tallinn on our own.
We could walk around for 3 hours. Tallinn is an absolutely wonderful city.
At 6 o’clock we started our trip back to Narva.
In Narva, we all met again with the Russians and Estonians and the other people. It was very funny.
Thursday
On Thursday we meet at 9 clock and then
went to the cemetery and nature reserve, where we watched everything.
After visiting park, we were on the beach where it was cold and fresh.
At 1 o’clock we all had a great barbecue , because the Dutch people had to go back home very early .
So after this we had time for things that we liked to do.
At 5’o clock we met the Estonians and the Russian people again and we went in the city and had fun and very beautiful moments which we will never forget. J
Friday
At 9’o clock we had to be at the bus stop where our bus to Tallinn waited.
The way to the bus stop was not easy because the farewell was very hard.
The departure was connected with tears and hard at all.
Fortunately, we will visit Estonia again in our summer in August.
German students in the Netherlands

From 14th to 18th March 2011 six students called Aileen, Nina, Denise, Jennifer, Pascal and Joschi and our teachers Mrs Uhlemann and Mrs Ender spent a week in Vlaardingen.
Monday:
After a long trip by train we arrived at 4 o’clock in Vlaardingen. We were warmly welcomed by our host families.
Then we went to our host families’ houses. They showed the houses. After that we all met at Jenny's exchange student. We all had a lot of fun together.
Tuesday:
We were taken to the station at 8:45. We went by train to Amsterdam. When we had arrived there, we visited the „Anne Frank House“. I personally find the house where they were hidden during the Nazi-occupation, very cramped and dark. But it was interesting to see how they had lived there. Then we made a boat trip through Amsterdam. We could see many interesting and culturally rich buildings, bridges and boats. After that we had time to go shopping in Amsterdam. Then we went home by train. All of us met at Denise's exchange student that evening. It was also a funny evening.
Wednesday:
When we had met at the station again, we went to The Hague. There we visited Madurodam. There we could see many small villages in miniature like the Peace Palace, the canal houses, the cheese market and much more. Then we had to run around in the city.
Later we visited the Peace Palace in reality. Whenever a war or a problem between two countries exists, it is tried to find a solution here.
We spent the evening at Esme’s place. We had a barbecue and it was a fun and acrazy evening.
Thursday:
This time we met at the school. We had a tour through the school. When we had finished, we went to Rotterdam. We were then taken at our harbor tour. It was very nice. We have found out that the port is the third largest in the world.
Later we „climbed“ the euro mast. We were 185m high. You could see Rotterdam. Later we were allowed to go back through the city. Once we were back in Vlaardingen, we went to a Wok restaurant. This was so the final dinner of the whole week. There was a lot to food and beautiful dishes.
Friday:
We had to say „Good bye“ to our friendly host families. We went back by train exhausted because of so many impressions. It was a really good week. We arrived at the station in Wernigerode at 18.45.
